Persaingan ZTE dan Huawei Ponsel WP7 Windows Phone

Menyusul ZTE yang telah menjadi mitra terbaru untuk platform Windows Phone, vendor ponsel asal China lainnya, Huawei dikabarkan juga tertarik untuk merilis ponsel dengan sistem operasi besutan Microsoft itu.

Dengan tertariknya Huawei sebagai pengusung platform Windows Phone di ponselnya, sorotan akan tertuju pada persaingan yang terjadi dengan rival senegaranya, ZTE.

Mengutip perkataan para analis, masuknya ZTE di pasar ponsel WP7 akan membuat ketersediaan ponsel WP7 lebih terjangkau. Begitupun dengan hadirnya Huawei sebagai vendor yang juga tertarik untuk bermain di segmen ponsel berplatform Windows Phone.

Dengan posisi keduanya yang kini tengah bersaing ketat di pasar ponsel local maupun global, utamanya untuk pasar ponsel murah. Apakah persaingan sengit keduanya di kancah ponsel berplatform WP7 juga akan terjadi? Kita lihat saja nanti.

After an interview with ZDNet, Huawei CMO Victor Xu confirmed that his company is indeed keeping a close eye on the platform and will "probably" have something cooked up and ready to go in 2012. This can't be much of a surprise since ZTE threw its hat into the ring last week, and Huawei won't want to lose much ground to its bitter rival. Nothing is set in stone yet, but this is still good news for Microsoft, which has a lot to gain by gathering another OEM into its fold.”
